Back to the Studio ✨ A New Season at FR Art Jewellery
Hello and welcome back to the studio, I’m so excited to be here again, surrounded by tools, sketches, metals, and ideas. After a period of travel, reflection, and inspiration, I’m returning to the studio feeling grounded, energised, and deeply connected to the direction of FR Art Jewellery.
There are many new projects and events coming up very soon, from exhibitions and collaborations to new releases, so stay tuned and follow along as I share more of this journey. Creating handmade jewellery is not just about the final piece, but about the process, the materials, and the stories that shape each design.
I also wanted to take a moment to openly share an important update regarding gold and sterling silver jewellery. Over the past months, the cost of precious metals, including sterling silver and gold, has increased significantly.
These materials are at the heart of my work as an independent jewellery designer, and sourcing high-quality, ethically produced metals has become increasingly expensive due to global market changes. As a brand focused on slow fashion jewellery, handmade silver jewellery, and small-batch production, every piece is carefully crafted by hand in the studio, and rising material costs directly impact the time, care, and resources required to continue producing artisan jewellery at the standard of quality I stand behind.
Because of this, prices across the FR Art Jewellery collection will be adjusted from Valentine’s Day. This change ensures I can continue creating handmade sterling silver jewellery, sculptural jewellery, organic jewellery designs, and contemporary art jewellery with integrity, longevity, and respect for the materials. Until then, current prices remain available on the website.
Choosing handmade jewellery in Australia means supporting thoughtful design, ethical making, and independent creative businesses. Each FR Art Jewellery piece is designed to be worn, lived with, and treasured, not mass-produced and not trend-led, but created with intention and care.
Your ongoing support allows me to continue working as an Australian jewellery designer, exploring form, texture, and meaning through art jewellery and contemporary jewellery design.
Thank you for being here, for following my journey, and for valuing craftsmanship, precious materials, and the beauty of slow creation. More soon, back to the studio, and excited for what’s ahead.
With gratitude,
Francisca
