What’s Included in the Kit?
Each fingerprint kit contains everything you need, including high-quality wax for the impression, instructions for melting and handling, a prepaid envelope to send back to me and all the necessary materials to complete the process. We’ve made it as straightforward as possible so that you can focus on capturing a meaningful moment. Wash hands thoroughly before touching the wax.
Step 1: Melting the Wax
Start by melting the wax carefully; we recommend using a small spoon and a jar of hot water, not boiling, just hot enough so you can stick your finger and not get burnt. Watch closely how the ball of wax starts to change colour from white to translucent. When it is halfway, take it out of the water and is ready to use.
Step 2: Making the Impression
Once the wax has reached the ideal softness, press gently to capture the fingerprint. Make sure to press down just enough to capture details without distorting the print. TIP: find the marks in the fingerprint that are stringer and use those fingers.
Step 3: Send Your Imprint to Us
After creating the imprint, wait until it changes colour to white and put it back in the palstic ccontainer and send it back to me. Each piece is handcrafted with care, ensuring the fingerprint is embedded into a custom piece that embodies the unique impression you've made.
